Jayne Ferris

29-year-old film maker, writer, illustrator, and community artist based in Dundee, Scotland.


  - Four years at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, resulting in B.A. Hons in Time Based Art and Digital Film.


 - Curation of charitable art exhibitions in hometown of Monifieth (latest: July 12th 2014, 11am to 4pm, in Lodge Grange, 2 Dalhousise Street).


  - Had work shown at the Glasgow Theatre Group's 'Film Camp 10' in 2010.


  - Previous employment as Video Editor, Graphic Designer and Community Artist/youth worker.


 - Available for filming and editing, flier/poster design, arts & crafts, curation, general assistant roles, and more.

  Most notable/recent projects:


 - Two short films for the Hot Chocolate Trust, Dundee, creating visuals to pre-recorded audio interviews with young people on their life stories: Non-functional and Locked in.


 - 4th annual mARTe charitable art exhibition and sale, this year in aid of the Hot Chocolate Trust, Dundee.


- Employed as a Community Artist Intern for a local youth work organisation. Most notably wrote, shot, and edited a film with the young people (trailer available on 'Film Gallery' page), and took part in the Blue Skies arts festival ('cardboard city' project can be viewed here)


 - Worked as Assistant Video Editor at the Dundee Channel, editing local news and events and promotional materials.


 - Created film-based promotional material for Rathbone Training Dundee (can be viewed on the 'Film Gallery' page).


 - Created flier-based promotional materials for Solar Cities Scotland and RMAS renaissance martial arts society (can be viewed on 'Other Work' and 'Social Gallery' pages).
